I find it’s rather difficult to speak or put on paper objectively about someone who is the seat of your heart, or you know, but having interacted and worked with a few young talented and skilled heads from Durban i have grown to regularly feed on their free energy, allowing me to conclude 'it's really not that hard'. This is a beautiful city with so much potential that needs tapping into, the lazy mentality needs to go and these cats need to grow.
I advocate watching potentially successful people mature and get ahead in life and if i have anything to contribute to that, it’s very rewarding. My partner has me exploring a lot of the creative cultures out there - mostly web visual content- things that I hadn't given much of my visual ear or time, that are seemingly right on top of my things to see list now. It's interesting and it brings about a lot of self scrutiny and awareness. He says things that I will recall later and put to thought, evaluate and then apply. That is a loving point for me through him.
I am placidly moving into creative culture enthusiasm with materials such as wallpaper magazines as oppose to commercial high market gloss -no malice intended.
I always say that there's a dream invested in this search, whatever one chooses to occasionally feed themselves with is where the spark of interest lies, the concept of creating, his or her journey's starting point. I have my eyes and head everywhere as far as social media and design right now, and even so, there is a clearer picture of where i am looking to settle and commence with my growth. It's like, there's so much to do with so little time and zero capital but a determination to make who i am known to self and those within the same levels of interest.
I really wish people could let loose their untouched real and explore this city with a way forward and idea of introducing what other cities have if not more. I count the days to when I too will say Durban will be heard with confident in myself and those i will be creating change with.
It takes an ordinary person to do extra-ordinary things.
