SWAG Ingrained in everyday youth language, "swag" is used as a synonym for swagger which defines style or presence that exudes cool confidence. However, vintage years ago during the 70's this term carried a whole different meaning, people used swag to say; SECRETLY WE ARE GAY. The word has been appropriated by Hip Hop and can be traced through its usage in Hip Hop lyrics from influencer Jay-Z's song All i need on his 2001 album The Blueprint. Since that time, it has been used all willy-nilly frequently also on clothing prints.
