We Are Creative Bloggers

It's been a prolific week of planning and mad running around as I get things in place for our newly established event/workshop for bloggers and those who are keen to jump in and learn the tricks of the (social media and design) trade with other cool peeps who are in the creative field.

I have been thinking of what to do for my city and the creatives that form it as a merging creative who has skills in graphic artistry, fashion design and blogging, we do not really have much going for artists in this city in comparison to places like Johannesburg and Cape Town. So, instead of folding my skilled hands I rearranged myself, pulled out a note pad and doodled a few ideas to help mature our local creative and brand scene.  After attending a business workshop last week by a stock-market analyst from Joburg, I found myself emotionally in frustration when he mentioned how our country is infested with lazy hands and aimless feet, how we lacked efficiency, Independence and productivity that would boost our economy, that day I later meet with a friend of mine who again prodded about the past couple of months where I have had people ask me to help them re-vamp their blogs, design logos for them that will suit the content and feel of their blogs and help them create a blog that will be an extension of themselves -if not advising them on how to go about updating everyday. All these pleas from strangers and friends has finally pushed me towards unpacking a dusty dream to help contribute to my city in a creative way as I bring together an audience from various skills and demographics to a meet and teach workshops where we will also share ideas, life stories and ways that will influence and stimulate a lasting creative culture and novel brands in our city.

I have invested myself to working with a selected number of you guys after a period of two months, on a workshop/event that is aimed to help sharpen minds and build confidence towards productivity. With my team of talented friends we aim to supply you guys with lessons on Photoshop, photography and the power of creative branding through the art of blogging. Start you up with blog accounts(for those who are keen to have blogs) that envelope who you are and what you are all about as we touch into your unique talent and link you into a close knit relationship with other creatives in your city.
