It has been an extensively 'crowded' past week for me, and all I can do right now is chill in bed in my new over-size-fit wool jersey from country road :) and admire the bliss of doing nothing but sit with my computer and a glass of red.
Last week Saturday I was invited by Derrick Mhlongo to judge a pageant at the Nelson Mandela School Of Medicine, which was too darn awesome. I got to engage with a beautiful bunch of doctors-to-be who really showed me a thing or two about having fun -not to mention sharing one too many dry jokes- hahaha. Then on Sunday night I was invited to a food and wine tasting with Russel in Durban North, as the owners of TheeChairman (Which is an elegant & remarkable lounge) invited a few friends and Us to assist in deciding on dishes and wines to make up a small menu for the lounge as the professional chefs kept the food platters on a role. The following week saw me running around westville for a series of job interviews and heading out with Russel to a night of live orchestra music in the city till very late (which did not support the fact that i was due to commence with my first day at work the very same morning at 7:30am.)
I am physically drained yet equally excited; but more so thankful to God with the way things have been enveloping this month as we tread into November on a rather absurd pace. Gods grace and love always proves true to me when I soak myself in his trust and word without qualm. I recently went home and found that a few old friends of fine and four church young ladies were gathered upstairs at my house for an over night fasting and prayer meeting, my mother encouraged me to join them, so I did, and I ended up being the one to share scripture that night which God spoke over and abundantly more than I had expected. We all started sharing our tribulations and exciting 'Jesus moments' amongst each other with love and support so much that we ended up in laughter and in prayer as God proved himself amazing to all seven of us once again. I left home the very next day with a fresh love for Gods word and in remembrance of all that he has truly done for me. Turning 23 exerted so much pressure on me, I have been immersed in my studies, scouting for a job and working hard towards building something solid for my small new business, and now I am looking for a new flat to rent! And through it all I am learning with diligence to trust in Gods word more than ever before. I missed my old friend Nondu(just thinking about her makes me laugh, she is soo bubbly it's awesome) and after spending a night of fasting with the ladies I was reminded of what really matters. I now make a conscious effort to spend time meditating on the scriptures and praying in the shower mornings and night, it just works so much better for me that way.
Tonight is a dear friends birthday dinner - Ibah(22)- and we are all requested to wear white lol gosh my friend.I am so proud of him and all he does for himself to reach his success point, hopefully we will celebrate him with a bang tonight. I will rest the day away and get ready to go out a bit later! :)
Much love to you Ibz.
