Catering as intended? // Fashion News

In as much as we are told creativity sees no barriers, the opinions of the (titled)industry ''experts'' are not always going to buy into the end result of things.

Opinions where divided when it came to Richard Prince's design for POP Magazine's cover for their Autumn 2014 issue. A zeitgeisty Instagram-styled photo of Grimes that had others pulling towards a concrete 'No' while others expressed seeing a fresh creative take by the American photographer. The magazine in itself, according to it's creators is, "Of genuinely chic women and men who understand that fashion is a wonderful prism through which so much of contemporary creativity and cultural change is refracted." Though I feel minimal marvelling towards the cover, in all fairness, despite whatever the viewpoint with the cover, according to pop culture in general when pop art provokes, it is in fact catering as intended.
