Dior and I // Frédéric Tcheng

When you have a big stage, you step up. And the pressure is on.
Not so long ago the fashion world was an esoteric place, unravelled by trusted writers whose detailed reports compensated for the lack of pictures allocated to their column inches. Today, with the scrutiny of social media, celebrities and the influencing 'front rowers' one may well add tears to the heat.

When I watched this trailer I literally had goosebumps from just soaking in the authentic definition of this industry. I may not have lived long enough to taste the changes this world has undergone but I can very well say, fashion and the people in it have come a long way and we owe them sincere respects.

Following Raf Simons  ( the 47 year old Belgium creative director of Dior ) as he creates his first ever couture Dior collection in just eight weeks, Navaz mentions it is a very tense and insightful look into Simons’ creative approach and process as he steps into the lead role at Paris’s fashion house.

The film explores the birth of a new direction for Dior. 'The flip side of the end of an era is a new designer stepping into the shoes of the founder, and that seemed like a very good premise to me,’ says Frédéric Tcheng

This I need to watch
