I’ve spent the better part of the week holding my breath (well figuratively, not literally), waiting for a phone call that hasn’t yet come through. People claim that no news is good news, but I’m going to go ahead and say that whoever came up with that saying had no idea what the they were talking about. Especially when the news on which you’re waiting has the potential to change things for good. But then again...do what exactly? One can only exercises patience in this state of things. The past two weeks have been an array of postponed interviews with a leading retail company, alongside unfinished assignments and organising an event that is in exactly 14 days and creeping the frost out of me as far as people financially securing seats (Sheesh).
Last night though calmed my anxiety as Russel and I decided to head over to the KZNSA gallery with dear friends Andile and Nyaniso to see Heels Over Head perform live, a Durban’s all-female jazz band. I found my day narrowed down to nothing but tipsy laughs and crazy memoirs around an ambiance of excellent music by the girls, the euphoria of previously lived night outs, clinking of fair wine glasses and good people. The performance was amazing, followed by dinner at new spot (to me)and late drinks at Ushaka Liquors which is another deluding spot(at first glance) that is purely amazing!
Make no apologies towards a good night with good vibes.
:)
