Anyway on the flip side, I have met up with some seriously talented up-and-coming Durban designers this weekend through out the Durban fashion fair that's been running from the 27th of this month till the 29th. I got to met a few interesting people there and engaged in meaningful conversations that suggest the growth of our local fashion business scene.
Now, whilst a few things are still in the pipe lines (regarding my new occupation, yes I landed a new an exciting job), I am dawned by the fact that being a part of anything from the beginning is wildly exciting and scary at the same time. One kinda has a blank canvas to work with, yet is also faced with the responsibility to turn that canvas into something people will recognise and pay homage to. In the past I've found that I had the ability to surprise myself and feel proud about what I had created and achieved for myself. And I tell myself that I can do it again. That's the way I'm trying to walk through things right now and that's where I'm headed.
This, is what I hope to be a great change and a start towards greater things in the smallest way - including all the previously posted "things-to-do" (the creative meet up is still in preparation).
Hope you guys have been greater.
