KZN FASHION COUNCIL MEDIA LAUNCH // BLOGGER CHALLENGE

I know... I know... It has been a good few weeks since I have posted, but in my defense I have a good eventful few weeks of work to show for it.

Fashion may not be so serious to the average South African, but from as early as September, I have seen how our 6 selected designers translate their craft to parallel the customers in a way that speaks to fashion and individual flair. Yesterday saw me at the Benjamin Hotel interacting and just being a part of the KZNFC team behind our successful Designer Media Launch held in Durban. An event that brought Durban's media and our creatives together to complete a day well spent.

Now, the best part of the day will always incorporate sitting with the designer for me. It is once you’ve met the woman or man behind these local establishing brands that it all comes together and it all starts to envelop more sense. Each designers humble demeanor speaks back to the gracefulness shown through each collection, also saying volumes about how they exceed their years through the skill in their craft and in thought processes.

And then we have 4 bloggers participating in a style challenge that introduces the four ramp designers and their style. Ibanathi Ngcobo, Eleigh Kheswa Mxolisi Ngonelo and Nongcebo Khumalo. keep updated on their blogs and on social media pages to vote for the best look as well as standing a chance to win.

I will admit that the particular frame I posted didn’t quite capture the full  line-up of the SAFW show to come but it did give that necessary peak into what KZN fashion has in store for us.
