She/Shares - Women Helping Women

I am very excited to mention that my team was the winning team at the Durban startup weekend for women!  In 3 days we had to come up with a business idea, and bring it to life (make a website, logo, flyers, design and make the dispensing box, sell the business at Decorex and pitch final work). Here is the idea I came up with below and got to bring to life this weekend with the amazing team of beautiful ladies / none of it would have worked as well as it did without their full input to the (winning) team!  Bernidene Fischer, Olivia Seay, Thando Selolo, and Pindiwe Filtane - Well done to us!

As women we all have one thing in common – periods. We all know what its like to be caught off guard by our period. She Shares is here for you. She Shares calls women together to support each other through a pay it forward system. By donating one of your extra pads or tampons to a She Shares box, you are providing help for a fellow sister who finds herself without in her time of need.

By donating feminine hygiene products, you are also helping women less fortunate than you who may not have access to feminine hygiene at all. She Shares utilizes partnerships with various charities, who will facilitate the redistribution of excess pads and tampons once a week to sisters in need.
